This years Pastors and Leaders conference in Corvallis was a true joy. Really it should be called a “family gathering” as that’s what truly happened. The Lord gathered His family from around Oregon together to bless, encourage, strengthen, and instruct us in His glorious abiding joy. It was a uniquely special time to pray, receive His Word, connect, meet new co-laborers, and gain lifetime friendships. Be sure to plan on coming to the next gathering and bring your whole team. It’s a must. Refreshing. Joyful. Restful. Jesus loving! I’m a different man because of the Lord using this time in my life.

We had many great interactions with so many people from around the state, encouraged by each other’s stories of both triumph and tragedy. There is a huge sense of empathy and connection through identification with each other. So thankful for all the pastors and their wives and all the leaders who attended. Something I also observed at shepherding the flock conference is that it is a time for even husbands and wives to connect in a way that they might not at home. Thankful for the amazing Calvary Corvallis staff and Pastor Rob whose leadership really keeps the focus on Jesus and listening to the Holy Spirit. It was sweet to see this couple have such fervent prayer with each other.

2021 Speaker

An excellent conference once again...all the messages were spot on. I especially enjoyed the teaching on the church being a garden to grow versus a factory to produce. The transparency of each speaker was apparent and each of them sharing their personal experience was invaluable. It was also great to connect/reconnect with people from other churches. Kudos to everyone involved in planning and hosting this event! Forgot to mention the worship times were phenomenal.

We love the family of churches that we have the privilege to gather with each year at the Corvallis conference. We always come away so encouraged and refreshed. We especially enjoy the times of sharing life together, praying with one another, and just being real together. The content is always encouraging in the teachings but the family fellowship time is rich beyond words.

From start to finish, this was an outstanding, Spirit filled conference. Every message, the worship songs, the sharing, and the discussions between sessions made this a very special and impactful time for me and everyone that I spoke to.
I was so delighted to witness the freedom in Christ that was celebrated - no guilt or shame, open owning of hurt and struggle, prayers of intercession offered and received joyfully, and not least - the evident rest and rejoicing seen among tired saints! Incredible unity, no showboating, just marvelous evidence of the Spirit getting His way.
It was such a blessing for me to meet and pray with those who are serving God in other areas of our state. So many testimonies of God's faithfulness. Also, I was encouraged by the teaching to trust in God's grace. He does not look down on us with disappointment when we fail. He is all-knowing yet He still sent His Son. I really had rich times seeking God in what He is calling me to in the next year.
