BAPTISM

We believe baptism is an important part of every Christian's life.

Baptism has been given to us by Jesus as an ordinance to follow and celebrate.
While not essential for salvation, baptism is commanded for those who have believed in Jesus and are trusting Him for their salvation. It is something that we do to identify with Christ in His death and resurrection. Therefore, we believe that baptism is for people who are old enough to understand on their own that they are giving their lives to Christ, forever identifying with Him.
If you are a Christian you need to be baptized out of obedience to Jesus!
There’s nothing magical about baptism. It does not save you. It is simply something we’re commanded to do so that we can demonstrate to the world that we belong to Christ and that we are depending on Him, His sacrifice for us and His victory over sin and death.

How to Get Baptized

Every Sunday in the summer we baptize at the end of our service in the Amphitheater. People come forward in the clothes they are wearing that morning. We have towels available for you.
During the winter months we baptize as people request to be baptized. Please email office@calvarycorvallis.org to let us know if you'd like to be baptized.
