Thursday Morning Session - January 28th

We love You, Lord. Give us discernment as we seek You, cause our thoughts to form. And we worshipped. We choose this day to be grateful, Lord, as we awaken to You.  Thank You for always being good, for your mercies that are ever new, in spirit and in truth we thank You.  For Your faithfulness like the sunrise, for You who alone are waking up our souls, it’s our joy to thank you!  Calling us Your friend, You who stand in our defense, for Your love that has no end, thank You!
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  We lift our eyes to heaven where there is freedom! Freedom reigns in this place, showers of mercy and grace are falling on every face.  There is freedom in Jesus.  If you’re tired and thirsty, give your all to Jesus.
Lost are saved and find their way at the sound of Your great name.  We lift up those who are weary this morning.  We’re thankful You are the One who fights our battles, and that You are our Shield, our Armor Our Champion, Jesus our Lord! You made a way where there was none…You’re strong in us. The debt we owe, You paid in blood.  The One in whom we belong, we lift our voice; we were orphans, but now we are Yours!  Thank You!

Reveal Your goodness to us as individuals as we seek You this morning, faithful God, always working on our behalf.  You are pleased with our prayers!  You are so good. Till the soil of our hearts, making us soft and pliable…speak, Your servants are listening!  Help us to know Your heart, we are lovers of You, following You.  We desire to be in step with Your Spirit, walking in Your Spirit, alive to You!  We love Your Spirit and want to hear what You are saying!  Help us to hear anything we haven’t previously been able to hear!
Thank You, God, for making a way, “And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last. Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.”  (Mark 15:37-38) Thank You!  Thank you for the finished work of the cross!  Ps 24:7-10 “Lift up your heads, O you gates!  And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!  And the King of glory shall come in.  Who is the King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.”  You have torn the veil in our hearts so we can receive You and enter Your sanctuary, the holy place! You are the king of glory.  Our light and our hope, no matter what is going on.  You are holding us in the palm of Your hand.  There is nothing we need to fear because of Your power for us!  We want to live each day in the identity You have given us!
We are thankful for the generations at our church, to be comforted and reassured by the elders, and to see their steadfast faith.  And the elders are so very thankful for the youth who come to the prayer meetings, like Claire and Caleb Weaver!   Thank You for reconnecting us with Zoom so we can be together!  Thank You for this body!  Your word is (James 3:17) first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” Let Your wisdom mark us today as we encounter people You put in our paths today.  Bring us to desperation inside so we know our need for you in everything.  And thank you for Mordecai’s word to Esther (Esther 4:14), “Yet who knows whether you have come…for such a time as this?”  Use us mightily and give us the strength to be bold.  Thank you for your past faithfulness.
