Alex Autio was raised on a cattle farm in Astoria, Oregon and began a relationship with Jesus after watching a Billy Graham TV show at age 6. He grew up in a musical family, and throughout his life he learned he could use this tool to minister to the Lord and bless others. Throughout high school and his first two years in college, Alex served as a worship leader at Coastline Christian Fellowship and was taught by the leadership there. Alex has a heart for creating radical followers of Jesus— those who are authentic worshipers in all areas of life, not just in music, and mission-minded believers who live to spread the Gospel to all people.
Alex moved to Corvallis in the fall of 2016 to study marketing at Oregon State University. After getting involved in Real Life, he quickly fell in love with the welcoming community of believers there. Alex now works in Real Life to facilitate a worshipful and creative environment. If you are interested in using music, design, photography, stage decorating, or other creative outlets to help serve with Real Life, please contact Alex.
In his spare time, Alex loves playing the banjo, recording music, and spending time in the mountains.
I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations.
For your steadfast love is great to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds.
“Remember not the former things,
nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert.
